Longitudinal Grooves Appear on the Surface of Foam Board

The appearance of longitudinal grooves on the surface of XPS, EPS,

and PET foam boards is a common problem during the manufacturing process.

We provide corresponding solutions for different causes.

Impurities at the mold outlet scratch the foam board:

1. Loosen the screws in the corresponding part of the mold outlet to allow the residue to be discharged with the material.

2. Use a copper rod to tap the surface of the mold to dislodge the impurities and

allow them to be discharged from the mold with the material.

3. Use a water gun to cool the corresponding area of the mold surface,

allowing the material to cool and harden while removing impurities.

4. Use a needle or feeler gauge to clean the mold outlet and remove impurities
